Is She A Knight or......My Gentle Lady?

                                             Chapter 6
Everyone looked at Sir Chris, almost suspiciously. She hoped that they weren’t thinking she was the Princess. She just wanted to run to her bedchamberand cover her eyes in embarrassment because of the pairs of eyes staring at her intently, especially Sir Christopher. She had to get out of this situation. She had to make an excuse and make them laugh so the suspicion will vanish into the thin air. Of course that includes deceiving her own father and everyone around. But at least she can save herself.
Sir Chris: (used her real voice) In sooth, I have a lady-like voice. My father and mother must have been worried. Methinks I will become a lady knight someday. (everyone laughed)
Sir Christopher: Methinks you are very strong even if you have a lady-like voice.
Sir Chris: Grah mersy.
King Alexander: Prepared for the joust?
Sir Christopher: Very much, after the eating and laughing.
King Alexander: Shall we?

All the way up to the tent, she felt so nervous. Obviously because many of the knights died accidentally because of joust or end up having awful scars. It’s not so nice that a gentle lady would have awful, big scars! She had faced many strong knights before and she is totally convinced she would win this time. As she entered the tent the head page along with the other pages was waiting inside. He was used to the armor’s heaviness. As usual the head page will ask a lot of questions in series while the pieces like leggings, the chain mail, gauntlets, the shoulder pieces, the gorget, the chest plate, arm pieces, until to the footwear like this……..
(head page) Rusell: Do you sit high or in cantle?
Sir Chris: Sit high.
Rusell: Will you couch your lance or rest it?
Sir Chris: Rest it.
Rusell: Do you tie-brace the high pommel or sit free?
Sir Chris: Sit free.
Rusell: Set your stirrups low or forward?
Sir Chris: Low
Rusell: Flex sabaton or firm?
